I think @saintstevieb and I talked for several hours between outfit changes. He was nervous but I'm so happy we met and I love the shot we got. We also both love neon colored underwear! 🍀 #portrait #malemodel #gayart #bannedfromgrindr #malebodies #e I quickly found that in this project, just like in real life, people who are confident in their bodies are generally the only ones who will let me photograph them. I'm sometimes blasted for not showing "normal male bodies" but I want to ma I knew going in that some of my photos for this project would not be welcomed on Instagram. Social media seems to be violently against male nudity, even when we follow their "community guidelines." This does not show a naked male penis nor I told my Grindr guys that I would take whatever kind of photo they wanted: fully nude, implied nude, underwear, whatever. I just wanted to show that the male body was beautiful so as long as I saw body somewhere I would realize their vision the best A lot of guys were interested in my Grindr portrait project but wanted to remain anonymous and/or couldn't host. 😅 It's funny and ironic but it just goes to show how terrifying it still is to be gay in this country, especially in Oklahoma. The premise was simple: I would come over and take a picture of them, however they wanted, for them to use on the app. @davidmartfeld was the first to take me up on the Front or back? 😈
