Equality Center Art Exhibit

I’m the featured artist for April at the Oklahomans For Equality Dennis R Neill Equality Center.

This show is a celebration of male beauty and figure photography that is currently banned from most social media platforms because it goes against “community standards.” The human body, even when not sexualized, continues to be censored and excluded from discussion in modern American society. My hope is to present work that is beautiful, emotional, and thought-provoking and to show that these “community standards” are actually an archaic barrier to healthy reflection and comfort with our own bodies. The show will feature giant prints of male nudes that I hope viewers will feel comfortable looking at, analyzing, and discussing in the hopes that confronting the fears and misconceptions of nude figure photography, particularly of the male body, can foster a change into what our community accepts.

The video walkthrough from the OKEQ YouTube channel got almost 2.5 millions views! They finally put it behind an age restriction log-in (violating their own terms that say photos or paintings of nudity are allowed) but it definitely made it around the world and back before they did.
